Just me trying to be honest with God.

If you tie exercise to something you love to do you will probably exercise.

“Always wear your party clothes and put on your best cologne.” Ecc.9 (paraphrase)
One bit of wisdom is learning to love what you do, not just do what you love. Learning to love what you do may require a little creative energy. I do not relish doing taxes, but since I have to do them, I am learning to enjoy myself while I do them. The old adage "Whistle while you work” is still a good reminder to find the fun in what you have to do. Put on some music, dress up, drink a cup of java or add whatever to enrich your experience. I once decided to do taxes parked at the beach. Conversations Within ts 11/25/2012 (Camp Farrington, FL)

I have almost decided that if I don't want to do something, there is a good chance that I should be doing it.

“Bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.” 1Tim.4
It seems, at least for the present, we must acquire a taste for many things that are good for us. Eating right, exercise and most spiritual activities are all disciplines because they require discipline to practice them. This is true for just about everything that is good for us. Physical and spiritual health are desirable but we must teach ourselves to love the rigors that bring us health as much as the rewards--the disciplines that promote it as much as the dividends. “You will find as you look back upon your life that the moments when you have truly lived are the moments when you have done things in the spirit of love.” Henry Drummond

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.” 1Jo.4
We can be sure that we are doing God’s will when we are loving people. I am not referring to the silly notions of love that the world is so infatuated about but love as God defines it. When we seek the highest good of another, even if it means sacrifice for us, we are loving as He loves. It is not how we feel about people but how we act towards them that is the true measure of love and the true measure if we have spent our life well. Conversations Within ts 11/24/2012 (Jax, FL)
