Yep, I’m guilty of doing just that. Sweet Lord, work in me a spirit that truly listens to others. Instead of thinking about what I want to say when they finish talking, keep me focused on hearing not only what is spoken, but what is unspoken. It may be that no reply is needed, or at least said after I give thought to it.
