“Turning the cheek” is an attitude as much as it is an action. Christian love is at the core of this attitude. Love says I will seek what is best for you, even when you choose to abuse me. For Christ, this did not end at the cross where He paid for our sins, but will reach its greatest fulfillment when we sit at His table in glory and experience His love and care forever.
