Just me trying to be honest with God.

"We can't help everyone, but everyone can help someone." - Ronald Reagan

“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them.” Matt.9
It is easy to be overwhelmed by the poverty in the world. This happens to me everytime I see a picture of some starving child. I immediately want to find a way to send them food. Thank God there are charities that do this. Modern conveniences make it easy enough to get involved. Mother Teresa once said, “Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time and always start with the person nearest you.”  Thank God! Technology has made the world smaller so helping a distant child is now within reach of us all. “Scatter kindness!”

“The kingdom of heaven... is like a mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his garden, and it grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air made nests in its branches.” Jesus

Consider the power of a single seed. The magnitude of its potential staggers the mind. Who could envision the trees of a thousand forest from one acorn? There are of course many kinds of seeds. Some are sown in the ground, others in the heart. Scatter the seeds of kindness like a dandelion in the wind. Only God can measure all that a single act of kindness can accomplish in the world. Wouldn't it be nice if we could keep God occupied keeping up with it! Conversations Within” ts 8/26/2015

“Be kind to unkind people. They need it most.” Ashleigh Brilliant

“People do not light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others.” Jesus

I am always saddened when people unfriend or choose to purge negative people from their interactions. How can we be light in a dark place if we never venture there? How can we be light to hurting people if all we do is spend time with positive friends? It is often the people who need love most who gripe and complain. Do not abandon such people, but hold them with the grip of grace and overwhelm the darkness of their negative outlook with the light of positive love.    Conversations Within” ts 8/25/2015
