“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” Is.40
Do these words mean that we must grow weary before God gives us His strength? I think in one sense they do. We must grow tired of trusting our own designs and understanding, even our own motivations and intentions. Humans are a frail and fickle bunch. God’s strength is found in humble admission of these weaknesses and by abandoning them in favor of His understanding, His leading and His inner workings.
