We will often make bad decisions because we foolishly believe that we have time to recover from them. There are a number of reasons why this is unwise. The first is that we are not guaranteed even the next hour. The second is that every time we make a bad choice, we reinforce a habit of making another. Not only are habits hard to break, we eventually become what we do and do and do.
