Jesus often used the words, “Truly truly, as part of His teaching. In essence He was encouraging us to believe that He was telling us the way things really are, like it is, as we say. In other words He is telling us the truth. Trust is an inherent expectation in such a claim. Perhaps Christ greatest claim is that truth in its purest form is a person. He wants us to believe that He is that person.
