My wife recently asked if our new wood burning stove was going to kill me. I replied that It may be just the thing that saves my life. I know what she means. She knows it is hard to get up in the middle of the night to keep it burning, and to rise early in the morning to stoke it again to keep us warm. But experience has taught me that just about everything good in life demands hard work.
