Sacrifice is a necessary condition to love. The reason is simple enough--in order to love we will reconcile ourselves to do what necessary to seek another’s good. People lose sleep, work long hours, and silently endure all kinds of hardship, just to serve those they care about. Sacrifice for the sake of sacrifice is silly, but performed for love, it is an immeasurable worth. Conversations Within” ts 12/18/2014
