“But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.” Lk.15 ESV
According to Jesus, God the Father runs. He runs; He does not walk to greet those who return to Him. His eyes are ever attentive to anyone who looks in His direction. Take one step toward God and you will find Him running in yours. So great is His love and willingness to accept us, it would not surprise me to find that He is always wearing running shoes.
