We have a responsibility to help others with their words as much as we do our own. If people come to us with angry words we can help by not adding fuel to the fire with more angry words. A gentle answer may put out the fire of a heated conversation. It does not matter if they started it. We can help stop it and redirect the conversation into goodness. All it takes is a humble spirit.
