It is not so much knowing that God is in control that brings calmness to the soul, it is knowing that the God who is in control is a good and gracious God, and that He is for us in every way that matters. Gratefulness creates this calmness. There may and will be storms, but the quiet heart knows the Wisdom which allows them and who uses them for good purposes.
