“It is hard for you to kick against the pricks.” Jesus

God wants one thing but I want another. He wants me to experience love. I want to be selfish. He wants me to be patient. I want it now. He wants me to listen. I want to blab on. He gently prods and pokes me toward His good ways. I stubbornly keep demanding my own. There is no doubt He has infected me with a healing virus and will not be put off. I may come kicking and screaming, but in the end I am grateful for His tenacious love.
