A proper fear gives proper respect to the object of our fears. Having a proper respect say for the power of electricity is one way we discover its value, and discover it without injury. To believe that God has the final say in everything is to give due respect to Him, and is one way we discover His value. To fear God in this manner, is the best way of disarming all other fears.
