There have been a number of occasions when I asked for something only to realize that God had already provided it. Truthfully, I could just as easily thank Him instead of asking Him. Most of the time He has given before I have asked anyway. It doesn't hurt, and surely it will help our faith if we practice giving HIm thanks before He actually answers.
