Spontaneous gratitude after someone has done you a good turn is a beautiful thing, but probably not as meaningful when someone goes the extra mile to show you how much they appreciate you. If you appreciate the people in your life, go out of your way to let them know you do. Doing the unexpected is the special ingredient to give special thanks to special people.
