We all have romantic notions about the birth of Jesus and well we should. But we would do well to remember that His birth, the star filled night, the angels singing, his humble entrance into our world was also an act of great sacrifice on His part. God was sending His son into harms way, into a world in rebellion, to people who would reject and crucify Him.
