I think it is important to know everything that love is not as one of the true measures of discovering everything that love is. Love is not many things. It is not envious, or boastful, or proud or rude. Love actually works against these things. It seeks to overcome evil by doing good. I am encouraged every day to abandon selfish thoughts when I have them, and to embrace love instead. These quiet inner encouragements are one of God’s greatest gifts to us.
