How we say something is probably as important as what we say. The tone in our voice is its own communication. If we want our words to produce goodness, we should wrap them in a tone consistent with our intentions. This can be hard in the face of provocation, but learning a measure of detachment when someone is provoking you and returning a soft answer is not only honorable, it can help turn an argument into constructive dialogue.
