The popular practice in American society is to preach tolerance, but then refuse to practice it toward the intolerant. We have become prejudiced against those who are prejudiced. My personal view is that there is nothing wrong with holding to one’s moral code so long as you do not stop loving those who do not share it. We must learn to love even those who do not love us.
