“This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
The other day, someone asked the date of my birthday in a text message. Because we were discussing gift giving, I replied, “Everyday is my birthday!” Surely everyday should be a birthday to each of us. We should open the present of this day and embrace it as the gift that it is. And, we do well to remember that even though we may open this present one time, we can enjoy its fruit forever.
