I can covet my neighbor’s house or car, even their spouse, their wealth, job, talent or health. There is no joy when we look with envy on another’s lot in life. Why not give thanks for the blessings they have received instead? Thanksgiving is the death of envy, especially when we give thanks for the blessings that God has given our neighbor.
