Sometimes our heart must be broken before God can teach us the true nature of love. He will use our brokenness to show us the difference between the love of feelings and the love of actions. Namely, it is possible to love a person by treating them good even if they have hurt you. We are never closer to God than when we love in the face of unreturned love. He walks this path everyday.
