A great deal of the unhappiness in the world can be traced to something as simple as an ungrateful heart. If we are not satisfied with our spouse, it is probably because we are not giving thanks for them. Thanksgiving scatters the seeds of joy in the garden of the soul, and when watered with our faith yields a harvest of joy and happiness. When we are satisfied with all that God is for us in the provisions he has made--our spouse, our job, our circumstances, we discover the very joy of living.
