One of the biggest mistakes in life is to make a decision we know is bad because we think we will have time to recover from it. This is a mistake for several reasons. It is not so much that we are making the assumption that we have more time--we might, we might not. It is the false assumption that we will actually want to make the right decision the next time around. Every decision we make inclines us ever so slightly to keep making the same decision.
