I watched with joy when one of my children picked up trash that someone carelessly left at a waterfall on the Appalachian Trail, and packed it out to dispose of properly. This is one way we become peacemakers in a world scarred by selfishness--we leave people and places better than we find them and heal the hurts caused by others.
