We may, at times, want God to speak to our ears but it is no surprise that He usually speaks to our heart. And, why not? We are after all, more than crude flesh; we are the spirit that inhabits it. We must fine tune our sensitivities to the world of spirit if we are to commune with God. He will meet us in the physical world, but every touch, taste, sight, sound and smell invites us to listen to His voice in our heart. Even when He speaks to our ears He wants to speak to our heart.
