Since God has plans for us, we may well want to make plans ourselves. I mean iIf God makes plans, why shouldn’t we? After all, a large part of life is learning wisdom from Him. It is wise to think about the direction of our life. Of course when we make plans it might be good to ask if our plans conflict, or cooperate with His? I should think it counterproductive if God has plans for me to be a good family man, and I make plans which keep me from being home most of the time.
