“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Jesus “Conversations Within” ts 4/21/2019
Grace modeste- an "unassuming grace." Any discussion of a spiritual nature should reflect this mutual kindness. The following are simply my devotional reflections each morning. I cast them like "bread upon the waters," hoping that all who find them will find something of value to nurture their own inner life.

“Happiness can exist only in acceptance.” George Orwell
The key to a restful heart is found in a gentle and humble spirit. The word “gentle” that Jesus spoke of having, is an equestrian expression used to describe the partnership that exist between a horse and its rider. The horse is said to be “broken” to the will of the rider. Jesus tells us that inner peace and rest will come to us when we willfully accept God’s direction for our lives. All struggle ends in this surrender of self.
