Without His resurrection, everything Jesus said would be just one more opinion in a sea of human opinion. But if the resurrection really happened, everything Jesus said has unparalleled authority. I am not sure which is worse: to dismiss the resurrection and the claims of Christ or to believe in them and yet live as if it makes no difference at all.
