“For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.” Rom.8People choose lesser pleasures over superior joys all of the time. Everyone knows that poor eating habits lead to poor health. The reason we choose poor health, and make no mistake about it that is exactly what we choose when we eat poorly, is because we have inclined ourselves to give in to a lesser pleasure over a superior one. The only way to change our inclination is one degree at a time. Every time I say “no” it makes it easier to say “no” the next time.
