“For we aim at what is honorable not only in the Lord's sight but also in the sight of man.” 2Cor.8 ESVHonesty is honorable--most of us highly appraise its value. Its worth is measured by the benefit it brings to others and to ourselves. Honesty before God reveals the hidden motives of the heart. Honesty with ourselves is a good self-diagnostic skill. Honesty with others, when coupled with love, is a great way to assist people. The funny thing about honesty is that it only has value when it is partnered with love.
