If God is the only good and everything else is good only when it looks to Him, then looking to Him in prayer is that power that will empower every activity with lasting goodness. Most would say that preaching without prayer is powerless but so is cutting grass, going to work, surfing or doing anything that does not grow out of the abiding Presence.
