Every year people speak of keeping the true meaning of Christmas. I suppose like many things, it is easy for our attention to get lost in the clutter of life’s many distractions. Married couples often forget to practice the true meaning of marriage, and parents of parenting, and friends of friendship. In each of these, the meaning is found in the words themselves. It is a wonder how we can forget Christ when we say the word Christ-mas, but we do. To keep to true meaning of all of these blessings is to practice them with an active remembrance.
