A good many changes in our life come in degrees, somewhat like a cake baking in the oven. Such change cannot be rushed. What is important is the direction the arrow is pointing in my thoughts and actions. Am I changing for the better? Is my character growing? The Christian answers this by asking if we are becoming more and more like Christ. This kind of change takes time. Surely patience, as well as perseverance is required of us. Stick with it, transformation is worth it.
