How precious is the gift of speech. How precarious as well. The power to build up and tear down, to praise and to curse reside in that tiny muscle in our mouth. The above quote is a good measure on whether we should open our mouth and let our words fly out into the world. Just because something is true does not mean it should be shared. Is it really necessary to say it and is it kind? How we say something can determine if it is a kindness or not.
