Keeping this bit of wisdom would cut out a great deal of speech simply because we all say things we do not mean. We especially do this when we are angry, or worried or “down and out.” We also make promises we do not keep. Better is a life of doing than talking about doing. Our speech should be a deliberate thing as should our manner of living.
