One way to get God’s favorable attention is when we stop desiring prideful attention from others. God’s favor is everything, and the humble have it. Don’t think for a moment that humility is thinking about how unworthy we are, it is when we stop thinking about ourselves at all. It is one thing to realize one’s shortcomings and another to appropriate the grace to do something about them.
