I think that humility is borne to us on the wings of perspective, the perspective of knowing one’s place in the world. Surely God is teaching it to us all of the time. I do not mean that His goal is to put us down, but to help put us in the place or service to others. In fact I think He means to lift us up and make us all little Jesus’. It is true though, that sometimes the way up is by first going down.
