“Guard your heart for from it flows the well springs of life.” Prov.4Most of us have experienced a desire for something, but when we finally get it, we realize we really do not want it at all. The strange thing is that our intense longing can actually turn into an utter hatred for the very thing we once fantasized having. I think one reason this happens is not only because we wasted time and energy wanting it, but once we get it, our disappointment reveals ugly things about us--things we would rather not know.
