We do not have to wait for people to ask for help before we can offer assistance to them. They may refuse it, of course, but wisdom can often help us overcome such reluctance. Sometimes the best help we can give someone is simply our presence. Just knowing that someone cares is often enough support to help them through whatever they are facing.
