We are so much more than the body that houses us. This is why it is sad when we allow the appetites of the body to enslave the soul. Addictions reduce people made in God’s image to mere animals following instinct rather than faith, hope, and love. Our addictions hinder us from becoming like God. Instead of rising above animal desires we never reach our potential and experience what it means to be truly human. God help love rule not lust. Conversations Within” ts 9/17/2015
