We say a person “goes off half-cocked” when they jump to action without thinking first. But thinking first and not jumping to action is just as unproductive. Once we affirm the goodness of an action, we should “Take the shot”, “spring into action”., “just do it!”  Live decisively! Commit yourself to getting it done by doing it, and doing it now.
