If I am ever to know purity of heart it is because God is able to produce it. Like gold refined in the furnace, so trial exposes and if we cooperate with it, trial removes impurities. Tough times have a way of sharpening our focus on matters that matter. God is a master craftsman. He will not turn the heat up too hot, but just enough to remove the dross of things which distract us from that which is life indeed.
