“Acting "as if.”

One popular notion floating around is, “Fake it till you make it.” The emphasis is not on being a fake, but behaving like the person you want to become, until you actually become such a person. Don’t all children play make believe, and wear the play clothes of the person they want to grow up to be. It wouldn’t hurt to for us to play and pretend to be Jesus until we actually grow up to be just like Him.
