Just me trying to be honest with God.

Moral excellence is not cooked in our lives instantly like some microwave dinner. We do not ask God to give us self-control and wake up the next day a disciplined person. Self-control is learned one decision at a time.

Be patient with your own personal growth. Be patient, but also be persistent. It usually takes six months to acquire a new habit, and even longer before habit becomes character. Stay with it every day and over time positive changes will stay with you. Work out what God is working in you.
