“Our Father…” Mt.6.9 ESV
By telling us to pray “our Father,” not “my Father,” Jesus directs us to wake to our connectedness to one another. As it is often asserted, we’re all in this together. When one of us is in need, all of us are in need. Christ wants us to know the joy of living for something beyond our own concerns by seeking the welfare of the greater community.
