It is possible to be a friend to someone even though they may never be a friend to you. Even so, the promise of Jesus cannot be undone. Love is its own reward. We are never more like God than when we love in the face of unreturned love. The one who is a friend to the friendless will have God as a friend. The one who loves in the face of unreturned love is being loved by God, and immeasurably so. Conversations Within” ts 7/16/2015
