Joy is the companion of a faith which rests in the absolute goodness of God and in His power to turn adversity into advantage and the worst day into the best. But even in the midst of trial, joy can spring up within. This is because joy comes not only when bad circumstances are made good, but from the simple knowledge that God is with us, despite our circumstances.
