We should exercise grace toward others. We should exercise grace to ourselves as well. I believe it is mature to laugh at oneself. Let’s face it, we all blow it from time to time, and we fail to get it right more often than not. Accept these shortcomings without accepting them. What I mean is we must face up to who we are---people who can’t make it without God’s grace. By all means take your sins seriously, but don’t take yourself too seriously.
“Sarah then said, “God has given me cause to laugh, and all who hear of it will laugh with me.” Gen.21.6
